Mont Forel

MONT FOREL 3,360m

Mont Forel is the highest mountain in the Schweizerland Alps and is situated on the very edge of the Greenland icecap.

Many other unclimbed peaks (c.1,800-3,200m depending on which area)
Up to 800m vertical height gain from basecamps to summits
Superb exploratory ski-touring and ski-mountaineering opportunities
Great mountain hut in magnificent location available for winter and spring expeditions.
Excellent views from Mont Forel over the vast Greenland icecap
Mont Forel can be ascended via a largely non technical route
Several new routes on Mont Forel are still awaiting first ascents
Excellent mixed climbing and big wall climbing potential throughout the Schweizerland Alps
Gneiss rock with occasional granite rock
